Akagera national Park located 120km/75mi (2 hours and 30 minutes’ drive) from Kigali, Eastern direction of Rwanda, the relatively warm and low-lying plains of Akagera comprise savannah, woodland, wetland and a dozen lakes. In partnership with African Parks, Akagera National Park has been transformed into a world-class location to experience a safari by wildlife enthusiasts and holiday travellers from allover the world.

The largely open expanse is ideal for game viewing and an experience encompassing the Big Five wildlife giants continue to roam the park in greater numbers.

Activities and attractions. With the introduction of a helicopter, a canine unit and rhino trackers. A family of lions from South Africa has settled in well, and breeding successfully, and 18 eastern black rhinos have also been re-introduced, of which all these can be sighted during a game drive in the park.
